Connecting a creator collaboration to craft and community

Andis partnered with John Mosley, known as Popular Nobody, on a collaboration that brought together custom barbering tools, a creator’s personal brand, and a commitment to education. Hired by agency Tiny Bully, Storyfarm worked with the agency to develop the film and handled live-action filming across multiple locations. The result presents the collection through the person behind it, connecting personal credibility, product detail, and community purpose in a single story.

the challenge

The Challenge

The collaboration had several distinct parts: a line of custom tools, Mosley’s personal brand, and a scholarship commitment. Each had value on its own, but the film needed to show how they fit together and give audiences a reason to care about the whole, rather than presenting a product launch with a celebrity attached.

the solution

The Solution

he story opens with Mosley himself, introducing him through his work ethic and his roles as a father, mentor, artist, and business owner. That personal foundation gives context to the collaboration and to his insistence on creating in his own way.

From there, the film connects his identity to the tools. Mosley walks through the design references, the cutting and finishing capabilities, and practical details drawn from his work with clients. Product information becomes part of a professional’s account of how he works, rather than a list of features.

The film also explains the collaboration’s commitment to A Change Is Coming, with a portion of clipper sales designated for the scholarship fund. Its focus on access to education and tools ties Mosley’s role as a mentor to Andis’s support for the barbering community.

the Results

The Results

The finished film gave Andis a way to present the collection through the person who shaped it. By bringing personal credibility, product detail, and community purpose into one story, it gives audiences several connected reasons to understand and value the collaboration. The project received enthusiastic feedback from the client team.

For a sales conversation

Tiny Bully hired us to collaborate on a film for Andis’s partnership with John Mosley, Popular Nobody. We filmed across multiple locations and worked with the agency on a story connecting who he is, how he works, and why the tools carry his identity. The film also explained the scholarship commitment attached to clipper sales. The client team loved the work. It’s a useful example when an agency needs a production partner that can contribute to the storytelling and handle the filming.
