Turning a branded character into a reusable content asset

Ace Hardware needed to get more value out of Ace the Dog than a single campaign appearance. Storyfarm helped turn the character into something the brand could keep using.

The Challenge

Brand characters are only useful when they can carry more than one moment. The assignment was not just to feature Ace the Dog. It was to build a framework that would make the character more flexible and more useful over time.

the solution

The Solution

Storyfarm developed a branded-content approach that treated Ace the Dog like an asset, not a novelty. The team built content that supported the brand, gave the character more story utility, and created room for repeat use.

The Results

Ace Hardware ended up with a more developed content asset and a clearer sense of how the character could show up across future storytelling. The value was not in the one-off appearance. It was in making the character easier to use again.

A holiday social video for Ace Hardware featuring Ace the Dog. The original series used a two-part Facebook format: first, viewers watched Ace choose between two wrapped Christmas presents and commented with their guesses. A follow-up reveal video showed which gift he picked. This cut combines the setup and reveal into one video.
