Uber needed mandatory safety training on a sensitive topic. Storyfarm helped build it in a way that was clear, respectful, and practical enough to roll out first across the U.S. and then globally.
This was not standard compliance content. Uber needed to educate more than 1 million U.S. drivers on gender-based violence prevention in partnership with RAINN, and the material had to be handled carefully. It needed to be serious without becoming confusing, usable at scale without becoming impersonal, and strong enough to hold up across a massive driver network.
Storyfarm worked with Uber and RAINN to produce more than six driver education modules for mandatory safety training. The team brought experience with difficult subject matter, coordinated across corporate and nonprofit stakeholders, and built the content in a modular way so it could be rolled out, reused, and expanded.
The training first launched to more than 1 million drivers in the United States and later expanded to more than 6 million drivers globally. Just as important, Uber ended up with a training system it could scale without reinventing the production process each time.
